Halo 4 Spartan Ops - Season 1 drawing to a close

After 9 weeks of playing, with an agonizing period of waiting for the second half, season 1 of Spartan Ops comes to a close today. The story is amazing. If they ever wanted to make a Halo movie, they should make it just like this. No need for live action screenplay, this format is incredibly gripping and puts you on the edge of your seat.

With the second half of the season, 343 really ramped up the intensity of the mission gameplay. The first 5 missions were bland, repeatedly visiting the same areas over and over. There was no real change in the settings, save for the epic Mantis battle on Ragnarok during Episode 3 (which was probably the most exciting mission during the first half). The last 4 missions have been more intriguing and enjoyable, throwing us into new areas with overwhelming amounts of enemies at times.

While I am both excited to watch the rest of the story today, I am also a bit saddened that this could possibly end Spartan Ops, which has been a staple of my Monday night gaming. Hopefully 343 doesn't end it there, and continues with a season 2. The story has to keep going.
