Playstation 4 possible announcement Feb. 20th

With an invitation to journalists to attend a Sony press conference geared towards "the future of PlayStation" on the 20th, many have speculated it is the announcement of the PS4 console. With the aging console slacking compared to its predecessor and the Vitas sales numbers slowing down, the company will undoubtedly be looking for a way to boost some profit margins this year. A new console would definitely do the trick.
According to a Wall Street Journal report "Sony is planning to incorporate more social gaming aspects into the new machine. Also, while hardware improvements were a key focus of past console upgrades, Sony is more focused this time on the changes in how users interact with the machine."
This substantiates rumors about a possible touch screen controller and also the removal of the dual-shock system, seen by many as overrated and for some, downright annoying. Obviously all of these are speculations and rumors, but ultimately, "Trying to squash a rumor is like trying to unring a bell." ~ Shana Alexander.
