Don Mattrick leaves Xbox for Zynga

Announced today, Microsoft's Entertainment and Devices boss Don Mattrick has officially confirmed that he is leaving his role at Xbox and is heading for Zynga. The struggling PC company hopes that by bringing Mattrick on board as CEO, may help them to climb out of the difficult hole they have fallen into.
"I joined Zynga because I believe that Mark's pioneering vision and mission to connect the world through games is just getting started," Mattrick said. "Zynga is a great business that has yet to realize its full potential. I'm proud to partner with Mark to deliver high-quality, fun, social games wherever people want to play."
Of course, there are the lingering questions that will forever remain unanswered. Was Mattrick forced out after his performance promoting the Xbox One at E3? Were the comments he made that ultimately trashed on the armed men and women of the military behind the move? Is this simply a career choice or something done to save face? No matter what the answers we receive, there will always be those type of questions.

Whatever the case is, good luck Don.
